Core responsibilities

  • Commercial Transactions: Structure, draft, and negotiate complex commercial property acquisitions, dispositions, and development agreements.
  • Financing & Loans: Represent lenders and borrowers in sophisticated commercial real estate financing, asset-based lending, and commercial loan originations.
  • Commercial Leasing: Draft and negotiate high-value retail, office, industrial, and mixed-use commercial leases on behalf of landlords and institutional tenants.
  • Easements & Land Use: Review complex title commitments and surveys; draft and resolve sophisticated easements, covenants, and land-use restrictions.

Position requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of dedicated experience specializing strictly in the field of commercial real estate. Must require zero practice-area training.
  • Practice Focus: A proven track record handling commercial files. Candidates whose backgrounds are predominantly focused on residential real estate will not be considered.
  • Licensure: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and active, good-standing admission to the Connecticut State Bar.

Benefits:
We offer eligible employees competitive pay and access to a range of benefits and support programs, including medical, dental, vision, prescription coverage, short-term disability, 401(k), employee assistance, childcare assistance, discounts, paid holidays, and longevity bonuses. Benefits are based on assignment type, schedule, length of employment, and plan eligibility requirements.
