Responsibilities
This position, located in Whitehall, MI, is responsible for supporting production operations by operating rolling equipment to produce quality components in alignment with plant standards and customer requirements. The Rolling Cell Operator will perform setup, operation, and maintenance of assigned machinery while maintaining safety, efficiency, and product integrity throughout each shift.
Shift: Monday through Friday, 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM
Breaks: 15-minute paid break at 9:15 AM and a 30-minute lunch at 12:00 PM
Compensation and Benefits
  • Starting pay: $17 per hour

Job Roles
  • Operates and maintains rolling equipment in accordance with established procedures and safety standards.
  • Performs setup and adjustments to meet product specifications and minimize downtime.
  • Monitors material flow, thickness, and quality throughout the production cycle.
  • Conducts regular inspections and measurements to ensure output meets tolerance and quality expectations.
  • Identifies and reports mechanical or process issues to maintenance or supervision for prompt resolution.
  • Adheres to safety protocols and participates in continuous improvement activities.
  • Supports preventive maintenance efforts and maintains a clean, organized work area.
  • Collaborates with team members, supervisors, and other departments to meet production goals.
  • Completes required documentation accurately, including production logs and quality records.
  • Contributes to an environment focused on teamwork, safety, and operational excellence.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience operating rolling or metal-forming equipment
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities
