Renal Dietitian FT

Ditmas Park Dialysis Center is seeking a Registered Dietitian to support our patients’ health and well-being.
In this role, you’ll work closely with our care team and patients to provide individualized nutrition plans that make a real difference in treatment outcomes and quality of life.

As a member of our care team, you’ll play a key role in helping patients maintain optimal nutrition throughout their dialysis treatment. The ideal candidate will bring both clinical expertise and a patient-first approach, empowering individuals to achieve better health and improved quality of life.

• Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for dialysis patients.

• Develop and implement individualized meal and supplement plans based on labs, clinical needs, and patient preferences.

• Monitor and track patient progress, adjusting plans as needed.

• Educate patients and families on kidney-friendly diets, weight management, and feeding options including enteral nutrition.

• Collaborate with nephrologists, nurses, social workers, and other staff to deliver a comprehensive care approach.

• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to patient care planning.

• Stay up to date with renal nutrition best practices and evolving standards of care.

• Provide mentorship and guidance to staff on nutrition-related practices.

• Current Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential.

• Previous experience in dialysis or clinical nutrition preferred.

• Strong knowledge of renal, geriatric, and chronic disease-related nutrition.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient education and motivation.

• Ability to perform nutrition-focused physical assessments and tailor interventions accordingly.
