We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team at Aspire Senior Living Excelsior Springs, a skilled nursing facility located in Excelsior Springs, Missouri. As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our residents by providing high-quality physical therapy services in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

About the Role

As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with Aspire Senior Living Excelsior Springs, you will be responsible for assisting physical therapists in the delivery of patient care under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. Your duties will include:

  • Assisting physical therapists in the development and implementation of treatment plans

  • Performing physical therapy interventions, such as exercises, stretches, and physical modalities

  • Maintaining accurate records and reports of patient treatment

  • Educating patients and their families on physical therapy techniques and exercises

  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for our residents

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Responsibilities

  • Assist physical therapists in the evaluation and treatment of patients with a wide range of medical conditions and impairments

  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical function and abilities

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet patients' unique needs and goals

  • Provide one-on-one therapy sessions and group therapy classes

  • Monitor and record patient progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary

  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatment and communication with families and healthcare providers

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program preferred

  • Current Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) licensure in the state of Missouri or eligibility to obtain licensure

  • Ability to lift, move, and transfer patients as needed

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly
