We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team at Aspire Senior Living Excelsior Springs, a skilled nursing facility located in Excelsior Springs, Missouri. As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our residents by providing high-quality physical therapy services in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
About the Role
As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with Aspire Senior Living Excelsior Springs, you will be responsible for assisting physical therapists in the delivery of patient care under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. Your duties will include:
Assisting physical therapists in the development and implementation of treatment plans
Performing physical therapy interventions, such as exercises, stretches, and physical modalities
Maintaining accurate records and reports of patient treatment
Educating patients and their families on physical therapy techniques and exercises
Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for our residents
Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Responsibilities
Assist physical therapists in the evaluation and treatment of patients with a wide range of medical conditions and impairments
Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical function and abilities
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet patients' unique needs and goals
Provide one-on-one therapy sessions and group therapy classes
Monitor and record patient progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary
Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatment and communication with families and healthcare providers
Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program preferred
Current Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) licensure in the state of Missouri or eligibility to obtain licensure
Ability to lift, move, and transfer patients as needed
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly
