Home Care Physical Therapist Assistant

Responsibilities:

  • Assist physical therapists in the treatment and care of patients with a variety of physical impairments and disabilities

  • Implement treatment plans developed by physical therapists, under their supervision

  • Conduct treatments, such as exercises, manual therapy, and modalities, as prescribed by physical therapists

  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatments and progress

  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care

  • Participate in patient assessments, screenings, and evaluations as needed

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, and colleagues

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

  • Current certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

  • Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare providers

  • Ability to lift, transfer, and support patients as needed
