12-month assignment with high likelihood of extension/conversion to full time employee

POSITION OVERVIEW – Sales and Claims Analyst
The Sales and Claims Analyst supports the Financial Operations team by processing and validating vendor and retailer chargebacks and claims, confirming that claimed amounts match purchases and program terms. This role works with an individually assigned book of accounts, with workload scaling to each account's claim volume, and collaborates cross-functionally with Supply, Marketing, Sales, and Credit & Collections.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Process and validate vendor/retailer chargebacks and claims, confirming claimed amounts match purchases and program terms
  • Track, code, and reconcile claims and chargebacks in SAP
  • Use Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, XLOOKUP) to track, validate, and report on claims data; macros are a plus but not required
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply, Marketing, Sales, and Credit & Collections teams across the company
  • Investigate market conditions and facilities to determine time, place, and type of sale, and whether items shall be sold individually or in lots
  • Coordinate representatives who may call on existing or potential customers
  • Promote satisfactory customer relations
  • Coordinate advertising and marketing campaigns
  • Provide marketing advice to organizational units
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
  • Finance/accounting degree or 4+ years of relevant experience
  • High school diploma plus relevant experience (e.g., bank teller, claims processing, other number-heavy roles)
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Numerical fluency — comfortable with positives/negatives and debits/credits
  • Excel proficiency, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables; XLOOKUP and macros are a plus
  • No prior SAP experience required — training provided on-site
