Job Description

Commercial Lender — Community Bank | Edmond, Oklahoma

A century-old, community-rooted bank is looking for its next Commercial Lender to grow a portfolio, build lasting client relationships, and make a real impact in the communities it serves.

Why This Role

This isn't just a lending job — it's a chance to be a trusted advisor to local business owners, entrepreneurs, and agricultural producers. Our client is a well-established, financially strong community bank with over 115 years of history, a reputation for exceptional customer service, and a genuine commitment to the neighborhoods it operates in — including significant community giving and thousands of volunteer hours logged annually by its team.

If you're a relationship-driven lender who wants autonomy, community visibility, and the backing of a stable, growth-minded institution — this is your seat at the table.

What You'll Do
  • Identify and develop new commercial, real estate, and consumer lending relationships
  • Analyze creditworthiness and structure loans that balance client needs with sound bank policy
  • Manage and grow a loan portfolio, monitoring performance and delinquency
  • Cross-sell deposit and treasury management solutions to existing and prospective clients
  • Serve on internal loan committees and represent the bank in the community
  • Stay ahead of regulatory changes affecting lending decisions
What You Bring
  • 5–10 years of banking or related lending experience (college degree and advanced banking education a plus)
  • Strong credit analysis and loan structuring skills
  • A proven track record in business development and relationship-based sales
  • Confidence presenting to loan committees and leadership
  • A high level of professionalism, discretion, and community engagement
  • Valid driver's license and proficiency with Microsoft Office
What's In It For You
  • Join a bank with deep community roots and a strong local reputation
  • Autonomy to build and manage your own portfolio
  • A culture that values relationships over transactions
  • Competitive salary (exempt) with strong long-term career potential
  • Be part of an organization that reinvests in the communities it serves
