Job Responsibilities of Occupational Therapist:
Evaluates and ensures patients’ plan of care.
Oversees occupational therapy assistants providing guidance, discussing progress, and monitoring clinical interventions/skills.
Provides skilled services and interventions using various techniques needed to achieve patients’ goals.
Follows all regulations and guidelines of the facility including compliance with confidentiality and HIPPA.
Adheres to discussed scheduled hours.
Provides skilled documentation of patient’s condition, and provides caregiver/patient education, progress, and need for services.
Ensures safe treatment practices and monitors patients’ engagement and responses to treatment modifies as necessary.
Requirements for Occupational Therapist:
Valid Occupational Therapy license
Graduated from accredited Occupational Therapy program
Experience with rehab optimal and skilled nursing facilities preferred
