Compensation & SchedulePay: $20–$24/hour. Weekend shift offers a 12% differential. Multiple shifts available.
A Day in This RoleMorning starts with your work order and blueprint in hand. You’ll set up equipment, block parts, and guide raw optical blanks through beveling, edging, milling, sawing, and grinding. As the day progresses, you’ll shape and finish components to exacting tolerances—down to ±0.001”. Between runs, you’ll inspect, clean, and verify dimensions using calipers, micrometers, comparators, and microscopes. You’ll collaborate with teammates, adjust setups, and document results to keep production flowing smoothly and on spec.

What You’ll Do- Execute optical fabrication steps: beveling, blocking, edging, milling, sawing, and grinding.
- Operate machinery to achieve tight dimensional tolerances (up to .001").
- Clean, inspect, and handle parts to meet rigorous quality standards.
- Interpret blueprints and detailed work instructions accurately.
- Measure precisely with calipers, micrometers, comparators, and microscopes.
- Pitch in with general production tasks as needed to meet schedule.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Sharp attention to detail and solid math fundamentals.
- Ability to follow written instructions and work independently or in a team.
