Job Title: Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) (PRN)
Facility: Wedgewood Healthcare and Rehabilitation
Location: Lakeland, Florida
Position Type: PRN
Salary: $35–$37 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Physical Therapist in delivering safe and effective therapy sessions tailored to individual resident needs.
Adhere to departmental policies, including maintaining a professional dress code and a positive, respectful attitude.
Follow strict safety protocols and infection control measures to ensure resident safety.
Maintain an organized and clean therapy area, ensuring essential equipment is available and in working order.
Report hazardous conditions or equipment issues promptly to your supervisor.
Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required for tasks involving potential exposure to bodily fluids.
Notify your supervisor immediately regarding missing or unclear labels or Safety Data Sheets (SDSs).
Requirements:
Licensure: Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Florida.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year working in a nursing home or rehabilitation setting.
