As a Physical Therapist, you will play a vital role in our rehabilitation services, working closely with patients to help them achieve their goals and regain independence.

About the Role:

As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive physical therapy evaluations, treatment plans, and daily treatments to patients. Your expertise will be used to modify treatment plans as needed, ensure accurate documentation, and maintain professional relationships with colleagues and patients. You will also be involved in facility meetings, staff education, and in-service education.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide a comprehensive physical therapy evaluation based on MD's orders

  • Document findings on standardized evaluation forms accurately and in a timely manner

  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans, including long-term and short-term goals

  • Ensure MD orders are obtained for evaluations, treatments, re-certifications, and discharges

  • Provide comprehensive treatment to patients utilizing various modalities

  • Document patient participation and progress on weekly progress notes and updated treatment plans

  • Participate in facility and rehab meetings, staff education, and in-service education

  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans

  • Supervise junior staff members or students as needed

  • Maintain professional relationships with colleagues, patients, and patient families

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited university with a B.S., Doctorate, MA, or MS in Physical Therapy recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA)

  • Current MA license and/or registration

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift, push, and pull patients, lift weights, transport patients, and perform treatment on the mat

  • Knowledgeable in and exercise good body mechanics during patient treatment
