About the Opportunity
A growing steel manufacturing operation in Dearborn, MI is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to support plant startup and ongoing operations. This role is ideal for a licensed electrician with strong industrial troubleshooting skills, PLC exposure, and experience working in heavy manufacturing environments.
This is a high-impact opportunity to join a new facility during its growth phase, helping establish safe, reliable, and efficient electrical systems from the ground up.
What You’ll Do
%CF; Install, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial electrical systems in a heavy manufacturing environment
%CF; Diagnose and repair motors, drives, control panels, power distribution systems, and automated equipment
%CF; Troubleshoot PLC systems, most commonly Allen-Bradley (Rockwell) and/or Siemens
%CF; Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams
%CF; Support startup, commissioning, and ongoing plant operations
%CF; Ensure compliance with safety standards including NFPA 70E and OSHA regulations
%CF; Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability
%CF; Collaborate with maintenance, production, and engineering teams to resolve electrical issues quickly and safely
What You Bring
%CF; 5–8 years of experience as an Industrial Electrician in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment
%CF; Michigan Journeyman Electrician License or Master Electrician License (LARA required)
%CF; Strong PLC troubleshooting exposure (Allen-Bradley/Rockwell and/or Siemens preferred)
%CF; NFPA 70E / Arc Flash training
%CF; OSHA 10 minimum (OSHA 30 preferred)
%CF; Experience in steel, metals, or heavy industrial environments strongly preferred
%CF; Ability to work flexible shifts as needed
%CF; Strong troubleshooting mindset and commitment to safety
