Description:
Grace Air & Heat is currently hiring for a full-time HVAC Maintenance Tech, Service Technician, and Install crew to maintain and repair residential heating and cooling units. This position is mostly Monday-Friday, with hours based on daily routes. May require some Saturdays during busier times of the year. We pay our HVAC Maintenance Technicians a competitive wage of $18-$20 per hour, depending on experience. Respond to service calls in a timely manner

HVAC TECHNICIAN QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be able to clear pre-hire background check and regular drug screenings.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean record.
  • Have your own equipment and hand tools.
  • Willing to work after hours, occasional weekends, and some holidays.
  • Registered with the State of Texas as a certified HVAC technician.
  • One year of HVAC technician experience.
  • EPA certification.
  • Take a knowledge exam given by the company.
  • Strong verbal communication skills, with ability to explain any HVAC issues with customer so they will understand.

Job Description:
The Texas Air Conditioning Contractors Association (TACCA) CODE OF ETHICS. WWW.TACCA.ORG will be followed at all times. Respond to service calls in a timely and orderly fashion that best benefits the customer and company. Come to work daily with a positive professional attitude to deal with all types of customers and co-workers. Maintain heating and air conditioning systems; identify maintenance risks on equipment; repair minor mechanical faults; and clean, repair, or adjust systems. Conduct sessional tune-ups on residential units.
  • Travel to homes on a daily basis as scheduled and punctually to multiple appointments.
  • Inspect current HVAC systems for effectiveness and safety.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems to increase longevity.
  • Sell ongoing maintenance contracts to current customers.
  • Able to completely fill out all forms of work completed.
  • Perform a consultation with customers and discuss all solutions to the customer's needs.
  • Conduct performance tests with specialized tools.
  • Keep the company vehicle clean, tools neat, clean, and well-maintained ready for use and safe.
  • Comfortable to contact the appropriate department with any and question or concerns on any call.
  • Look professional in a company-supplied shirt and adhere to the company dress code at all times.
  • Comfortable working with little to no supervision.
  • Out GOING! Willing to work and learn with an open learning mindset.
  • Be professional and keep the safety of others and yourself at all times.
  • Complete work orders are completed efficiently.
  • Stay in contact with the team and supervisor.
