Occupational Therapy Assistant PRN

Laurel Square Healthcare and Rehabilitation is looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our rehabilitation team and provide therapy services to patients in our skilled nursing facility. We are looking for someone with experience working in a skilled nursing facility. The right candidate is patient, compassionate, and professional, who encourages and inspires their patients to work toward greater independence and recovery.

Shift type: Per diem

Role of the Occupational Therapist Assistant

• Implement an individualized treatment plan based on the patient assessment provided by the Occupational Therapist to restore function and independence

• Monitor patients' performance in therapy activities and adjust the treatment program to obtain improved progress

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team members to provide input regarding patient needs and establish a rehabilitation plan.

• Maintain positive interactions with patients, families, and caregivers while providing instruction and education in home programs, basic living skills, and the use of adaptive equipment.

Qualifications for an Occupational Therapist Assistant:

• Experience providing occupational therapy in a skilled nursing facility

• Graduated from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

• Current Occupational Therapy Assistant license for the state of Pennsylvania

• Requires good organizational and time management skills

• Requires good verbal and written communication skills
