Maintenance Technician

The team at PPS is seeking a Permanent Maintenance Technician that ensures maximum equipment uptime, improves operational efficiency, and supports daily production. This role is respnsible for rapid breakdown troubleshooting, executing a structured preventive maintenance program, conducting root-cause problem solving, This is a direct hire role with GREAT benefits!

Key Responsibilities

• Equipment Uptime & Breakdown Response
• Maintain all critical manufacturing and facility equipment in optimal operational condition.
• Respond immediately to on-site equipment breakdowns and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems,hydraulic.
• Prioritize repair requests efficiently, focusing on production-stopping equipment first.
• Eliminate recurring equipment failures by implementing permanent mechanical fixes.
• Preventive Maintenance & Systems Management
• Execute and update a structured Preventive Maintenance (Fiix) program using checklists and schedules.
• Track all maintenance activities, parts used, root causes, and downtime hours in the Maintenance Request System.
• Monitor and maintain minimum stock levels for critical spare parts and frequently failing components.

Safety, Operations & Housekeeping

• Follow a consistent daily routine consisting of equipment health checks, scheduled PM work, and project planning.
• Maintain clear logs and communicate equipment status seamlessly with production leads and shift supervisors.
• Adhere strictly to all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and OSHA regulations, with zero violations.
• Maintain clean, safe, and highly organized maintenance shops, workstations, and tool sets.
