Job Summary

Gulfport Nursing Center is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our team at our 126-bed skilled nursing facility in beautiful South Pasadena, Florida. We are undergoing a first floor renovation at this time. As a valued member of our care team, you will play a vital role in helping our residents achieve their highest level of independence and mobility.

Responsibilities:

• Assist occupational therapists in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans for our residents
• Conduct evaluations, assessments, and interventions to improve residents' functional abilities and quality of life
• Provide educational and therapeutic activities to promote resident independence and mobility
• Collaborate with the occupational therapy team to ensure seamless delivery of care and services
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of resident assessments, treatments, and progress

Requirements:

• Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant or related field

• Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in the state of Florida

• Minimum of 0 years of experience in the field of occupational therapy

• Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation, if necessary
