Position Overview

Camellia Gardens Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is looking for a Physical Therapist Assistant to support rehabilitation services within a skilled nursing environment. This role works under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to help residents improve mobility, strength, and functional independence.

The PTA plays an important role in carrying out treatment plans and supporting residents through their recovery process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver therapy interventions as outlined by the supervising Physical Therapist.

  • Assist residents with exercises and mobility training to support rehabilitation goals.

  • Observe and report changes in patient condition or progress.

  • Ensure treatments are carried out safely and according to care plans.

  • Document therapy sessions in accordance with facility and regulatory standards.

  • Communicate effectively with therapists, nursing staff, and other care team members.

  • Maintain a professional and supportive approach when working with residents and families.

  • Support department workflow by participating in daily scheduling and care coordination.

  • Follow all applicable Medicare and clinical documentation requirements.

What You Should Bring

  • Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.

  • Current PTA licensure or eligibility in North Carolina.

  • Ability to follow clinical instructions and work under supervision.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Comfort working with residents in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting.

  • Dependable, detail-oriented, and patient-focused approach.
