As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you'll work alongside an experienced Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary care team to provide compassionate, high-quality rehabilitation services that improve the lives of our residents.
Position DetailsPosition: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
Employment Type: PRN
Setting: Skilled Nursing & Long-Term Care
Schedule: Flexible PRN hours with day shift availability preferred
Provide skilled physical therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
Assist residents in improving mobility, balance, strength, endurance, and overall functional independence.
Accurately document treatment sessions, resident progress, and daily therapy notes in accordance with regulatory and facility guidelines.
Monitor resident response to treatment and communicate progress or concerns with the supervising Physical Therapist.
Assist with discharge planning and educate residents and families on home exercise programs and safety techniques.
Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and the interdisciplinary care team to achieve the best possible resident outcomes.
Participate in care conferences, departmental meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
Travel to nearby affiliated facilities as needed to support resident care.
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program.
Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
Previous experience in a skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care setting is preferred but not required.
Ability to safely assist residents with transfers and mobility, including lifting up to 50 pounds when necessary.
Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
