LPN Allergy (Chesapeake Specialty Care)
Job Description
The Allergy Nurse provides specialized clinical care for patients undergoing evaluation and treatment of allergic conditions within a physician-led ENT practice at Annapolis ENT. This role supports allergy testing, immunotherapy administration, and patient education while ensuring safety, compliance, and excellent patient experience. The Allergy Nurse collaborates closely with ENT providers to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care and supports the growth and efficiency of allergy services.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform allergy skin testing (percutaneous and intradermal) in accordance with physician orders and protocols
- Administer allergy immunotherapy injections and monitor patients for adverse reactions
- Recognize and respond to allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis, following emergency protocols
- Educate patients on allergy treatment plans, environmental controls, and immunotherapy compliance
- Document testing results, injections, and patient responses accurately in the EMR
- Ensure adherence to infection control, OSHA, and safety standards
Requirements
- Active LPN license in Maryland
- 1–3 years of clinical nursing experience required; allergy or ENT experience preferred
- Experience with allergy testing and immunotherapy strongly preferred
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Knowledge of anaphylaxis management and emergency response protocols
Total Rewards
The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of Specialty Care Networks’ salary range for this position. Some candidates will not be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate’s geographical location, skills, work experience, market conditions, internal equity, responsibility factor and span of control, education/ training and other qualifications.
