We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our dedicated team of healthcare professionals at Avir at Victoria. As a CMA, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our residents, supporting their health and well-being in a comforting and secure environment.

About the Role:

As a Certified Medication Aide, you will be responsible for administering medications to our residents under the supervision of our licensed nursing staff. You will also assist with daily living activities, such as personal care, grooming, and mobility assistance, to ensure our residents receive the highest level of care. Your strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment will be essential in providing outstanding care and service to our residents and their families.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications to residents as prescribed by physicians and under the supervision of licensed nursing staff

  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, grooming, and mobility assistance

  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents

  • Maintain accurate records of resident care and medication administration

  • Collaborate with licensed nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans

  • Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives to enhance resident care and services

Requirements:

  • Currently certified as a Medication Aide in the state of Texas

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Minimum 0 years of experience in a healthcare setting (new graduates welcome to apply!)

  • Ability to work varied shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends
