Job Description
A Physical Therapist opportunity is available at a 221-bed acute care Level II Trauma Center in Sanford, FL. The hospital offers a full-service cardiovascular program — including open-heart surgery, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, cardiac rehabilitation, and comprehensive diagnostic services — along with orthopedic and spine care, robotic surgery, acute inpatient medical rehabilitation, and complete imaging services.
The role. The Physical Therapist manages the complete therapeutic care process for an assigned patient caseload, working in coordination with physicians and the broader patient care team. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting evaluations, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and delivering skilled therapeutic interventions designed to produce measurable changes in patient condition and function. The PT also instructs patients, families, and caregivers in exercises, therapeutic appliances, and prosthetic or assistive devices to be used outside of formal therapy sessions. In addition, this role carries responsibility for prioritizing caseload, assessing daily staffing needs, and coordinating patient assignments and handoffs across the team.
What we're looking for.
- Bachelor's Degree
- (LPT) Licensed Physical Therapist
- Open to all experience levels, including new graduates
- Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
Schedule. Day shift, five 8-hour shifts per week with a start time between 7:00 AM and 10:00 AM, rotating weekends required (new hires typically work approximately four weekend shifts per month, with weekend frequency reduced over time by leadership).
Compensation. $35.77 - $49.18/hr plus $10,000 sign-on bonus
