Black Hills Special Services Cooperative is seeking a dedicated full-time or part-time Occupational Therapist to support the development and rehabilitation of children with disabilities in the Hot Springs School District. This role focuses on helping individuals build independence and functional skills through personalized therapy programs.Black Hills Special Services Cooperative (BHSSC) is a public entity that is an educational cooperative under the State of South Dakota. BHSSC is comprised of five divisions dedicated to aiding school districts, individuals, and the communities.Work Location-Hot Springs, SDWage-$45-$65/hour based on experienceJob Type-Full-time or Part-TimeJob Description-Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy programs based on student needsCollaborate with rehabilitation teams, educators, physicians, and familiesTeach functional, daily living, and pre-vocational skillsMonitor, evaluate, and document student progressDesign adaptive equipment and recommend environmental modificationsSupport participation in educational, recreational, and social activitiesTravel to various sites to provide therapy servicesTrain staff, families, and community partners on therapy strategiesMaintain accurate documentation, reports, and compliance recordsParticipate in meetings, trainings, and community outreach opportunitiesEnsure confidentiality and adherence to safety practicesJob Qualifications-Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited programLicensed or eligible for licensure as an Occupational TherapistTwo (2) years of experience preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience)Valid South Dakota Driver's LicenseStrong collaboration, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality and work across diverse teamsCompany Website-Bhssc.orgFor additional information or questions please contact Joe Hauge at [email protected] or 605-939-5187.
