This role combines clinical expertise with administrative leadership to ensure regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, quality patient care, and staff supervision in an acute care hospital environment.The Nuclear Medicine Supervisor will oversee departmental operations, regulatory readiness, accreditation requirements, and radiation safety processes while also performing nuclear medicine procedures for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department patients as needed.ResponsibilitiesProvide administrative and operational oversight of the Nuclear Medicine DepartmentEnsure departmental compliance with standards established by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC)Manage renewal and amendments of Radioactive Materials Licensure in collaboration with the Radiation Safety CommitteeMaintain readiness for NYSDOH surveys and coordinate corrective action plans when necessaryOversee ACR accreditation renewals and compliance activitiesCollaborate with the Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) to manage personnel monitoring programsDevelop, review, and implement department policies and proceduresSupervise Nuclear Medicine Technologists and support staff developmentPerform nuclear medicine examinations in an acute care setting, including inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department casesPromote quality, safety, efficiency, and excellent patient care standardsQualificationsEducationGraduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program requiredCertificationsCNMT certification requiredARRT (NM) certification preferredExperienceAcute care hospital experience preferredPrior leadership or supervisory experience preferredStrong knowledge of:NRC regulationsRadiation safety standardsACR accreditation processesNYSDOH compliance requirementsWhy Join Rome Health?Supportive and collaborative healthcare environmentOpportunity to lead and shape departmental operationsWork with advanced imaging technology and multidisciplinary teamsCompetitive compensation and comprehensive benefits packageMake a meaningful impact in the Central New York communityApply today to join a healthcare organization dedicated to excellence, innovation, and compassionate care.
