Entry-Level Civil EngineerRequisition Number: 2026-1350-11S&ME is looking for an eager and dedicated full-time entry-level Civil Engineer to join our Civil/Energy team in Charlotte, North Carolina. As an entry-level Civil Engineer, you'll gain hands-on experience and personalized mentorship from Professional Engineers while working on impactful infrastructure projects across the Energy, Industrial, and Government sectors, including pipelines, renewable energy facilities, water resources, and more. You will participate in conceptual design, engineering analysis, detailed calculations, and cost estimation.Your Day-to-Day:Learn from Experienced Mentors - Work alongside Professional Engineers who will guide your technical growth and career development.Contribute to Meaningful Projects - Support the planning and design of real-world infrastructure like utility systems, landfills, dams, and stream restoration efforts.Develop Technical Skills - Create drawings, perform engineering calculations, and assist with specifications, reports, and cost estimates.Support Civil Site Design - Help with grading plans, stormwater management, and permitting processes.Collaborate with Clients and Teams - Engage directly with clients and teammates to deliver innovative, efficient project solutions.What You Bring:Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related field0-2 years of progressive experience in civil engineering design projectsAspiration to take the Professional Engineer (P.E.) exam within the next 4-5 years.Strong prioritization skills and well-organizedExcellent verbal and written communication abilitiesFamiliarity with AutoCAD, Civil3D, and stormwater/utility modeling software, a plusWe Are S&ME:At S&ME, we're committed to your growth, professionally and personally.
