CNC Machine Operator (Milling)

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC milling machines by selecting appropriate tooling, fixtures, and raw materials.
Load programs and verify machine settings prior to production runs.
Monitor machine cycles and inspect finished workpieces using precision measuring instruments to ensure compliance with specifications.
Adjust machine offsets, speeds, feeds, and tooling as required to maintain product quality and efficiency.
Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections to ensure dimensional accuracy.
Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary corrections to minimize scrap and downtime.
Conduct routine machine maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and basic preventative maintenance tasks.
Maintain accurate production records, including output, scrap, downtime, and tool changes.
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Collaborate with supervisors, quality personnel, and maintenance teams to meet production goals and quality standards.
