Overview
Talin Home Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality care to patients in in their homes across Northern Virginia. This role is essential in helping patients regain mobility and improve their overall physical function.
Duties
- Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing treatment plans for patients with various conditions, including geriatrics, and those requiring acute care.
- Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Educate patients and their families on exercises, techniques, and strategies to enhance recovery.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress in accordance with facility policies.
- Ensure a safe and clean treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology to effectively assist in patient treatment.
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to physical therapy practices.
- Experience or knowledge in specific areas such as outpatient services, inpatient care, skilled nursing facilities, and geriatrics.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations, including children and elderly individuals.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while providing high-quality patient care.
