Job Title: HVAC Service Technician (Residential Maintenance & Repair)

Location: Richardson, TX

Pay: $25–$30 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Position Overview

Energy Attic is hiring an experienced Residential HVAC Technician with 3+ years of hands-on experience in maintenance, service, and repair. This role is ideal for a technician who can independently diagnose and resolve HVAC issues while delivering excellent customer service in residential environments.

Key ResponsibilitiesHVAC Maintenance & Service

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on residential HVAC systems.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heating and cooling systems.
• Complete seasonal system changeovers (heating ↔ cooling).
• Evaluate system performance and recommend repairs or replacements.

Installation & Support

• Assist with HVAC system installations and ductwork as needed.
• Support senior technicians on complex service calls or installs.
• Mentor helpers or junior technicians when applicable.

Tools, Inventory & Communication

• Maintain service vehicle, tools, and job materials.
• Track and restock inventory as needed.
• Communicate clearly with dispatch and office staff regarding job updates, parts, and timelines.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of residential HVAC experience (required).
• Strong ability to independently handle service and maintenance calls.
• EPA Certification (preferred or ability to obtain).
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Experience with HVAC diagnostic tools and service software.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ServiceTitan or similar HVAC CRM software.
• Familiarity with attic-based HVAC systems and ductwork.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

Work Environment

• Residential service work in attics, crawl spaces, and rooftops.
• Exposure to heat, cold, dust, and insulation.
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding conditions.
• Occasional overtime, evenings, or weekends as needed.
