Job Title: HVAC Service Technician (Residential Maintenance & Repair)
Location: Richardson, TXPay: $25–$30 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Position OverviewEnergy Attic is hiring an experienced Residential HVAC Technician with 3+ years of hands-on experience in maintenance, service, and repair. This role is ideal for a technician who can independently diagnose and resolve HVAC issues while delivering excellent customer service in residential environments.
Key ResponsibilitiesHVAC Maintenance & Service- Perform routine preventative maintenance on residential HVAC systems.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heating and cooling systems.
- Complete seasonal system changeovers (heating ↔ cooling).
- Evaluate system performance and recommend repairs or replacements.
- Assist with HVAC system installations and ductwork as needed.
- Support senior technicians on complex service calls or installs.
- Mentor helpers or junior technicians when applicable.
- Maintain service vehicle, tools, and job materials.
- Track and restock inventory as needed.
- Communicate clearly with dispatch and office staff regarding job updates, parts, and timelines.
- 3+ years of residential HVAC experience (required).
- Strong ability to independently handle service and maintenance calls.
- EPA Certification (preferred or ability to obtain).
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
- Experience with HVAC diagnostic tools and service software.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Experience with ServiceTitan or similar HVAC CRM software.
- Familiarity with attic-based HVAC systems and ductwork.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Residential service work in attics, crawl spaces, and rooftops.
- Exposure to heat, cold, dust, and insulation.
- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding conditions.
- Occasional overtime, evenings, or weekends as needed.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
