Extruder Operator - Plastics
Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor single and twin-screw extrusion machines to ensure efficient production of polymer compounds.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and maintain equipment performance.
- Follow production schedules and adjust process parameters as necessary to meet quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of production data, machine settings, and material usage.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize processes and improve production efficiency.
- Ninety percent of the shift is spent standing/walking around the production machines and in the warehouse
- Ten Percent of the shift is spent operating a forklift
At various points throughout the workday the following duties are/may also be required-
Frequent bending, lifting (up to 55 lbs.) to shoulder height and crouching
Frequent pushing/pulling (up to 100 lbs.)
Use of shovel and broom
Regular climbing of ladders/stairs
Use of hand and air tools
Use of touchscreen controls
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to troubleshoot basic machinery issues.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in a compounding facility.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Starting Wage- $20.00-$24.00 per hour based on experience.
