Project Coordinator
Position Summary
The Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting the overall planning, coordination, and execution of projects throughout the project lifecycle. This position will provide project cost, schedule, estimating, progress measurement, and change management support while helping ensure project teams remain aligned with scope, contract requirements, priorities, and established objectives.The Project Coordinator will work closely with project teams, resources, and management to track performance, coordinate activities, identify opportunities for process improvement, and support the successful completion of project deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide project cost, schedule, estimating, progress measurement, and change management support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review and understand project scope, contract requirements, priorities, and deliverables.
- Assist in establishing priorities and coordinating activities across the project team.
- Lead and support project cost and schedule tracking.
- Develop and maintain project estimates, forecasts, and projections.
- Monitor project progress and identify potential schedule, cost, or resource concerns.
- Establish and maintain effective project communication plans.
- Follow up with project resources and management regarding assigned tasks, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Monitor team performance and resource allocation to help ensure project requirements are met.
- Identify opportunities to improve project processes, administrative procedures, and overall project execution.
- Support the development and documentation of lessons learned.
- Administer and maintain project change-control processes.
- Assist with the development, organization, and standardization of project documentation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and process development.
- Prepare and maintain project reports, documentation, and other technical or administrative materials as needed.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and provide a high level of service and support.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of related project coordination, project administration, or project management support experience.
- Experience working with and organizing cross-functional teams.
- Experience developing and improving administrative processes and procedures.
- Experience with task organization, coordination, and management.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Microsoft Project experience is a significant plus.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, tasks, and deadlines.
- Ability to quickly learn new processes, systems, and project requirements.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Team-oriented and service-focused approach.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Ability to communicate effectively with project resources, team members, and management.
- Ability to identify process improvements and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with technical writing.
- Experience developing or standardizing processes and procedures.
- Experience supporting continuous improvement programs.
- Previous experience with project cost tracking, scheduling, forecasting, estimating, or change control.
Additional Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Must be able to successfully clear Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) requirements.
- This is a safety-sensitive position.
- Must comply with all applicable company and project safety requirements.
Schedule and Work Environment
- Monday through Friday
- 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Overtime may be required based on project needs.
- Dress code: Business casual.
