Position Summary

Seneca Dairy Systems, LLC is seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Maintenance Technician to support equipment reliability and general building maintenance. This role is responsible for maintaining machinery, performing preventive maintenance, supporting electrical work, and assisting with facility upkeep. Training will be provided for advanced maintenance and electrical tasks.

Primary Focus: Building Maintenance & Facility Operations

- Perform general building maintenance, repairs, and facility upkeep to ensure safe and efficient operations.

- Install, maintain, and repair electrical apparatus, fixtures, lighting, and equipment throughout company facilities.

- Connect, troubleshoot, and repair wiring in electrical circuits and building systems.

- Assist with facility improvement projects, renovations, and the construction of new buildings and structures at the depot.

- Perform preventive maintenance on building systems, including electrical, mechanical, and facility-related equipment.

- Replace motors, contactors, relays, switches, and other electrical components as required.

- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair facility infrastructure to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.

- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company safety policies and applicable codes and regulations. Reporting Relationship

Primary Focus: Building Maintenance & Facility Operations

-Check machine fluid levels and grease equipment as part of routine preventive maintenance programs.

- Service, maintain, and perform minor repairs on heavy equipment and company vehicles.

- Rewire used machinery and equipment to correct voltage requirements before placing units into service.

- Assist with troubleshooting and repairing electrical components of machinery and production equipment.

- Plow snow, maintain driveways, parking areas, and perform general grounds maintenance to ensure safe site conditions.

- Support other maintenance, equipment, and facility-related projects as assigned.


Qualifications & Requirements

- Strong attention to detail

- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills

- Willingness to be trained on equipment and tasks required for the role

- Ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously

- Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately to 1/32-inch increments

- Experience using hand and power tools

- Excellent physical condition with ability to climb ladders and stairs

- Familiarity with and adherence to safety requirements and protocols


Physical & Work Environment Requirements

Ability to lift, climb, bend, and perform physical labor; work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions; and safely perform maintenance tasks at heights.
