Night Shift | 8-Hour Shifts
13-Week Contract
40 Hours per Week
We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a 13-week contract assignment in a Long Term Care (LTC) facility located in Decorah, Iowa. This is a full-time opportunity working night shifts (8-hour shifts) for a total of 40 hours per week.
The ideal candidate will have at least one (1) year of recent LTC experience and a strong commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to residents.
Schedule
Shift: Nights
Shift Length: 8 hours
Weekly Hours: 40 hours
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care to residents in a long-term care setting
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Monitor and document residents’ conditions and report changes to the RN or physician
Assist with care planning and interdisciplinary communication
Ensure compliance with facility policies and state regulations
Support residents with daily living activities as needed
Requirements
Active Iowa LPN license (or compact license if applicable)
Minimum 1 year of Long Term Care (LTC) experience
Current BLS certification (AHA required)
Strong clinical and documentation skills
Ability to work independently on night shifts
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
Previous travel or contract experience
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
