Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design and development of complex mechanical systems, engineered assemblies, and custom industrial equipment from concept through production.
This is a hands on engineering role for someone with strong mechanical fundamentals who enjoys seeing designs move beyond CAD and into fabrication, assembly, testing, and production. You will work closely with manufacturing, suppliers, customers, and other engineering professionals while taking ownership of technically challenging projects.
Industry specific experience is not required. The strongest candidates will bring excellent mechanical engineering fundamentals, practical design judgment, and the ability to apply their experience to unfamiliar technical challenges.
Responsibilities:
• Lead mechanical engineering projects from concept and requirements definition through detailed design, production release, testing, and manufacturing support
• Design complex mechanical systems, assemblies, components, and custom equipment using 3D CAD, including detailed fabrication and assembly drawings
• Perform mechanical calculations and engineering analysis involving tolerances, loads, pressure, thermal conditions, materials, component compatibility, and system performance
• Partner directly with fabrication and manufacturing teams to improve manufacturability, reliability, assembly efficiency, serviceability, cost, and overall product performance
• Provide technical leadership across engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and customers while troubleshooting production issues, supporting root cause analysis, and mentoring other engineering personnel
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline
• Five or more years of mechanical design engineering experience involving mechanical systems, equipment, machinery, assemblies, or other highly engineered products
• Strong proficiency with 3D CAD platforms such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, Creo, or comparable software
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals, manufacturing and fabrication processes, tolerances, fits, materials, component interfaces, and mechanical assemblies
• Demonstrated ability to independently solve complex technical problems, manage multiple engineering projects, and collaborate effectively with manufacturing, suppliers, customers, and leadership

• Tanks, pressure related systems, industrial machinery, or custom engineered equipment
• Fabricated and welded assemblies and component or equipment selection
• ASME, NFPA, or UL related design requirements
• Finite element analysis, prototype development, testing, validation, and root cause analysis
