Job Summary
Fairview Skilled Rehab & Nursing Home is seeking a recent graduate Clinical Fellow (CF) Speech-Language Pathologist to join our rehabilitation team. This position is designed for a recent master's-level graduate who is completing the required 36-week Clinical Fellowship under the supervision of an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist. The CF will provide speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing evaluations and treatment while developing the skills needed for independent clinical practice.
Responsibilities
Evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, rehabilitation professionals, residents, and families.
Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and team meetings.
Complete the Clinical Fellowship under the guidance of an experienced supervising Speech-Language Pathologist.
Qualifications
Recent graduate with a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Eligible for or currently holding a New York State Speech-Language Pathology license with Clinical Fellow (CF) status.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Compassionate, motivated, and eager to learn.
Skilled nursing or rehabilitation experience is a plus but not required.
