Occupational Therapist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team at the West Haven Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping our patients regain their independence and overcome physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges. Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and treat patients with a wide range of diagnoses, including but not limited to stroke, spinal cord injury, and cognitive impairments

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve patients' functional abilities and overall quality of life

  • Conduct daily occupational therapy sessions, using a variety of techniques and strategies to achieve patient goals

  • Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and physical therapists, to ensure seamless care delivery

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment plans

  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and make recommendations for improvement

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program

  • Current state licensure and registration as an Occupational Therapist

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and staff members

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
