Summary: The Winder Operator is responsible for supplying empty tubes and bobbins to winding machines and removing fully wound packages to maintain continuous production flow. This role supports efficient operations by ensuring proper material handling, monitoring product quality, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.Essential Functions:Operate and maintain winding machinery in accordance with production requirementsIdentify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects in yarn and finished productsProperly string yarn onto winder heads to ensure efficient operationReplace full yarn packages with empty tubes to maintain continuous productionAccurately record production data and maintain required documentationKeep a clean, organized, and orderly work areaFollow all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environmentRequired qualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentBasic math proficiency requiredAbility to read, write, and understand EnglishKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Previous experience in a similar manufacturing or machine operation role preferredStrong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality workAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a team environmentAbility to read, write, and understand EnglishPhysical Demands:Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally Ability to reach in front of the body and below waist level frequently Ability to stoop, crouch, bend, and twist frequently Use of both hands for feeling, grasping, handling, and finger dexterity frequentlyAbility to visually inspect and physically detect defects in materials Ability to wear and properly use required personal protective equipment is an essential function of this position.Equal Employment Opportunity StatementVarflex Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
