Your Impact

As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you'll play a vital role in helping residents maximize their independence, confidence, and quality of life.

Working alongside our Occupational Therapists and interdisciplinary team, you'll help residents achieve meaningful goals while making a lasting difference every day.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Occupational Therapists (OTR/L) to implement individualized treatment plans

• Deliver skilled occupational therapy interventions under the direction of the Occupational Therapist

• Assist residents in improving performance with activities of daily living (ADLs)

• Encourage and motivate residents throughout their rehabilitation journey

• Educate residents on adaptive equipment and techniques that promote independence

• Monitor and report resident progress to the Occupational Therapist

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation

• Ensure safe, effective, and resident-focused therapy sessions

• Work closely with nursing, therapy, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes

• Contribute to a positive and supportive rehabilitation environment

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) Program

• Current New York State OTA License

• Skilled Nursing Facility or Rehabilitation experience preferred, but not required

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Passion for helping residents achieve their highest level of independence
