Job Description:
VSSI Staffing is seeking an experienced Electric Motor Rewind Technician to work with a well-established industrial service facility in Houston. This opportunity is perfect for a skilled technician looking for steady first-shift hours in a hands-on environment.
Responsibilities:
- Rewind AC and DC electric motors according to specifications.
- Disassemble, inspect, clean, and reassemble electric motors.
- Test motors for electrical and mechanical performance.
- Diagnose causes of motor failure and complete necessary repairs.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Follow all safety and quality standards.
Requirements:
- Prior experience rewinding electric motors required.
- Strong understanding of motor components, windings, and insulation systems.
- Ability to use hand tools, testing equipment, and shop machinery.
- Excellent attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
- Reliable transportation; preference given to candidates living near the 77007 area.
