Responsibilities:
Provide skilled occupational therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
Carry out individualized treatment plans designed to improve patients' independence, safety, and quality of life
Assist with therapeutic exercises, activities of daily living (ADLs), adaptive techniques, and use of assistive equipment
Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the supervising Occupational Therapist
Educate patients and caregivers on home safety, exercises, and techniques to maximize independence
Complete accurate, timely clinical documentation
Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and quality improvement initiatives
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated patient care
Promote safe, compassionate, high-quality care that helps patients remain independent in their homes
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) program
Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in the state of practice
Current NBCOT certification, if applicable
Current CPR certification
Minimum of two years of COTA experience preferred
Home Health experience is a plus but not required
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance
