About the Role:
As an Occupational Therapist (OT) at Astoria Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation, you will be responsible for:
Evaluating and treating guests with diverse medical conditions and disabilities to improve their mobility, strength, and overall functionality
Developing and implementing personalized treatment plans that address each guest's unique needs and goals
Providing skilled interventions such as exercises, activities, and education to promote independence and self-care
Collaboration with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and effective communication
Maintaining accurate and detailed records of assessments, treatments, and progress
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough assessments of guests' physical and cognitive abilities
Design and implement customized therapy plans to address functional limitations and impairments
Provide direct patient care, including exercises, activities, and education to promote independence and self-care
Monitor and track guest progress, making adjustments to therapy plans as needed
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and effective communication
Requirements:
Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) in the state of Ohio
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities
