Physical Therapist Assistant / Rehabilitation Services


A community-focused healthcare organization in Central California, near Soledad, is seeking a full-time Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join its rehabilitation team.

This is a permanent opportunity for a PTA who enjoys hands-on patient care and working closely with Physical Therapists to help patients regain strength, mobility, range of motion, coordination, and overall function. The position offers competitive annual compensation and the opportunity to provide individualized rehabilitation care within a supportive clinical environment.


Job Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Provide direct patient care under the clinical supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
  • Carry out therapeutic interventions established within the patient's physical therapy plan of care.
  • Use therapeutic procedures, modalities, exercises, and assistive devices to improve mobility and functional independence.
  • Help patients restore muscle strength, range of motion, coordination, mobility, and body alignment.
  • Provide interventions designed to reduce pain and improve movement and overall function.
  • Observe and document patient response to treatment.
  • Communicate patient progress, concerns, and changes in condition to the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Educate patients on exercises, mobility techniques, and appropriate use of assistive devices.
  • Maintain safe, accurate, and patient-centered treatment practices.
  • Practice in accordance with California Physical Therapist Assistant scope-of-practice requirements.


Schedule

  • Full-time position.
  • Permanent employment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Current and valid California license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
  • Strong patient care and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under the clinical direction of a Physical Therapist.
  • Comfortable providing hands-on therapeutic care and assisting patients with mobility and functional activities.


Compensation

  • $62,441 to $82,576 annually
  • Compensation based on applicable experience and qualifications.


Practice Environment

The rehabilitation program supports patients working to restore function, mobility, strength, and independence following injury, illness, surgery, or other physical limitations. The role offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with Physical Therapists while providing individualized, hands-on patient care.

This opportunity is located in Central California near Soledad, offering access to the surrounding Central Coast region, outdoor recreation, local communities, and a more relaxed lifestyle while remaining within reach of larger Central Coast destinations.
