Physical Therapist Assistant

We are looking to hire a Physical Therapist Assistant for a skilled nursing facility.

Primary Function: To assist the Physical Therapist in provision of services to the residents in accordance with Florida State pratice standards in accordance with the American Physical Therapy Association.

Qualifications:

Education: Graduate of approved Physical Therapy Program Bachelor's, Master's or DPT program

Certification: Florida State License & current Florida Registration Certificate

Preferred Experience: 2 year experience, at least one in Geriatrics

Job Duties:

1. Performs tratment sessions as directed by PT
2. Documents &maintains services-related records in compliance with department requirements.
3. Assists PT in developing treatment plans & techniques to implement plan.
4. Implements & modifies treatment plans under PT supervision.
5. Monitors Resident's response to treatment & reports oberservations to supervising therapist.
6. Maintains daily statistics records in Net Health.
7. Recommends to supervisor termination of services.
8. Provide in-service education to nursing staff & family members as needed.
9. Communicates effectively with other therapist & departments re: common issues (discharge plans & significant changes).
10. Aware of state requirement Continuing Education need as per State Policy.
11. Attends all department & interdisciplinary meetings as scheduled.
12. Complies with HIPAA guidelines.
