The industries we support include aerospace & defense, medical, steel, nuclear, automotive, general manufacturing, and research & development.Job Summary:The Mechanical Assembler, working under supervision, will participate in the manufacturing of custom designed factory automation equipment and other fabricated assemblies. Candidate must be able to read technical drawings, understand technical direction, and safely complete assigned tasks both independently and working as a team. Candidate is expected to ask questions to ensure understanding if needed. A variety of tasks will be assigned that support activities to be completed, per the manufacturing schedule. Candidate will be responsible for maintaining an organized and tidy workspace, including spaces where parts and equipment are stocked and stored. Candidate may also support other activities in the company's manufacturing operations. Occasionally travel to customer locations will be required and may include overnight and multi-day trips.Qualifications:ASG team members must have a good work ethic, be teachable, and be a good team player. Having a solutions-oriented mindset with a positive attitude, a strong desire to learn and improve, and a willingness to ask questions and seek help when needed is important. Additionally, applicants for this position:1 year in an industrial / manufacturing environment preferredHigh School diploma or GEDGeneral knowledge of and ability to use common hand and power tools such as hammers, drills, and wrenches.Read and interpret technical drawings and the written instructions of designers and engineersAbility to work in a team-based manufacturing environmentCapability to follow instructions precisely and take directionIntense focus on always ensuring a safe working environment - Reports unsafe conditionsWillingness to work overtime, possibly on weekends and holidaysA strong sense of urgency and self-disciplineMust be able to listen to, speak, read, write and understand English proficientlyMust be able to pass a drug screen and background checkMust have and maintain a valid driver's licenseMust be a U.S. CitizenAmtec Solutions Group (ASG) is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action Employer and maintains a Drug Free Workplace.
