Maintenance EngineerLocation: Canopy by Hilton Scottsdale Old TownWhat You'll DoResponsibilities include maintaining all equipment, systems and building components including, but not limited to; mechanical and electrical systems, pumps, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, locks, furniture, paint, wall coverings, tile and other equipment.Here are some tasks you will complete on a daily basis:Build, repair and paint all parts of the hotelInstall and replace lighting fixtures and bulbsClean carpets and rugsVisually inspect and test machinery and equipmentComplete preventative maintenance on all 177 guest roomsPlace any service calls as neededListen for unusual sounds from machinery or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors to diagnose problem or repair machineDismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired partsRepair and maintain physical structure of establishmentFabricate and repairs furniture and fixturesAttend all scheduled training classes and meetingsPaint corridors, hotel room, and lobby areas when necessaryTransport heavy boxes and packages within the hotel for maintenance and repairsCommunicate with Engineering Supervisor on projects as assignedRespond to all customer requests in a timely and personable mannerWhat You BringPrevious experience as a hotel engineer is preferred or comparable maintenance experience at an establishment such as apartment complex or office buildingAbility to be yourself, lead yourselfFlexible schedule, able to work evenings, weekends and holidaysCanopy by Hilton is an equal opportunity employer who provides employment opportunities to qualified persons without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, marital status, veteran status or any other area prohibited by applicable laws and regulations.Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $21.00 per hourBenefits:401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee discountHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:Day shiftEvening shiftHolidaysWeekend availabilityEducation:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Experience:Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: In personHow to apply:Join us!
