Job Description
Speech Pathologist (Contract)
Location: California 93301
Contract Length: 13 Weeks (05/11/2026 – 08/09/2026)
Pay: $2,270 – $2,545/week
Schedule:
Day Shift (8-hour shifts)
Monday–Friday
Start time: 8:00 AM or 8:30 AM
Weekend rotation: 1 weekend shift per month
No night shifts
Position Summary & Responsibilities (Concise)
Evaluate and treat speech, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
Perform assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
Document care and monitor patient progress
Supervise support staff and collaborate with care team
Assist with discharge planning and patient education
Requirements
Education & Experience:
Master’s Degree (or equivalent): Required
2+ years SLP experience: Preferred
Licensure & Certifications:
Active Speech Pathologist License (state of practice): Required
BLS/CPR (AHA or ARC): Required
ASHA CCC: Preferred
Equipment & Procedures
Equipment: Wheelchairs, walkers, canes, rehab tools
Procedures: Video swallow studies (daily scheduled exams)
Collaboration with transport team for studies
Scrubs: Black
Additional Notes
Work closely with hospitalists and intensivists as needed
No lift team
Vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions may apply)
