Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Per Diem

Department: In-House Subacute Rehabilitation
Position Summary
Page Health & Rehab Center is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house subacute rehabilitation team on a per diem basis. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality therapeutic services that help residents regain mobility, strength, and independence.
Key Responsibilities
Provide physical therapy treatments as directed by the supervising PT in accordance with individualized care plans.
Assist residents with mobility, gait training, strengthening, balance, and functional activities.
Document therapy services accurately and thoroughly, in compliance with facility policies and regulatory guidelines.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support residents’ plan of care and progress.
Educate residents and caregivers on therapy techniques, safe movement strategies, and use of assistive devices.
Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive treatment environment.
Uphold professional, ethical, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
Current Florida Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license or certification.
Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
Prior experience in subacute rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or long-term care preferred but not required.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the rehabilitation team.
Strong communication, documentation, and time-management skills.
Compassionate approach to resident care and recovery.
Per diem candidates must be available to work consistent hours as scheduled.
