Electro‑Mechanical Aerospace Assembly Specialist Is this you?
- Do you enjoy turning blueprints and work instructions into precise flight‑ready hardware?
- Are you confident with torque tools, gauges, and installing fasteners on small, intricate parts?
- Do you thrive in a clean, organized environment where quality and safety come first?
- Build mechanical subassemblies and perform final assembly to engineering specs for aerospace products.
- Read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, work instructions, and specifications.
- Use hand tools, power tools, torque tools, and precision measuring instruments to assemble small parts.
- Install hardware: screws, nuts, bolts, rivets, clips, bushings, and other mechanical fasteners.
- Verify fit, alignment, and functionality; make adjustments as needed.
- Execute visual and dimensional inspections to meet quality standards.
- Detect and report nonconforming materials, parts, or assemblies promptly.
- Accurately complete production and quality documentation.
- Adhere to safety procedures and company quality requirements.
- Maintain a 5S‑compliant, organized work area.
- Partner with production, quality, and engineering to troubleshoot assembly issues.
- Meet daily output goals while upholding craftsmanship and precision.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1–3 years of mechanical assembly experience in manufacturing; aerospace background preferred.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and assembly drawings.
- Experience with hand/power tools, torque tools, and measurement equipment.
- Familiarity with quality standards and inspection processes.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and meticulous attention to detail.
- Team‑oriented with the ability to work independently when required.
- Excellent attendance and reliability.
- Regular sitting, standing, bending, and reaching.
- Lift up to 30 lbs frequently; up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Repetitive hand and wrist movements.
- Fine motor skills and strong hand‑eye coordination.
- Ability to identify small components and assess detailed assemblies.
- AS9100 quality systems and prior AS9100 experience.
- PLC wiring experience (electro‑mechanical builds a plus).
- Mechanical assembly, final assembly, and general assembly capability.
