We're looking for a motivated and experienced Powder Coat Line Leader to join our growing team and help lead daily work in our Powder Coat operation. The ideal candidate is hands-on, highly organized, and has a strong background in industrial finishing processes (preferably powder coating), leads by example, and can thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.You will train and help lead a team of operators to meet production goals while upholding the highest standards for safety, quality, and efficiency.About UsJoin us in bringing Grand Haven's newest manufacturing facility to life! If you're excited about seeing tangible results from your work, and you thrive in a dynamic environment where growth is constant, joining Kaidi could be the journey of a lifetime!Key ResponsibilitiesLead the daily operations of the powder coating line, including pre-treatment, coating, curing, and quality inspectionTrain, coach, and provide daily direction to team members to improve productivity and skillsAssign tasks and monitor the performance of line workers to meet production goalsEnsure all parts are coated to proper specifications and meet internal and customer quality standardsConduct line start-up and shut-down procedures and oversee equipment operationCoordinate with upstream (fabrication) and downstream (assembly/packaging) teams to maintain workflowTrain new team members and reinforce best practices for safety, quality, and efficiencyMonitor inventory of powder, hooks, masks, and supplies - notify supervisor of low stock or other issuesMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with OSHA and company guidelinesReport equipment issues, quality concerns, and production delays to supervisors and maintenance teams, helping to create and implement solutionsMaintain accurate production records and communicate shift reportsSupport continuous improvement efforts to reduce waste, improve finishes, and increase efficiencyThe above is not an exhaustive list of duties, representing the typical expectations for the roleQualifications5+ years of relevant experience in a powder coating or finishing operationPrior experience in a lead, team leader, or supervisory roleStrong working knowledge of powder application, pre-treatment, masking, and curing processesAbility to operate and troubleshoot coating equipment, ovens, and conveyorsFamiliarity with lean manufacturing principles and quality control in a finishing environmentCapable of reading production schedules and interpreting work instructions or blueprintsExcellent communication and leadership skills with a focus on teamwork and accountabilityComfortable using basic computer systems and production tracking toolsAble to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods in a production environmentHigh school diploma or GED required; technical training or certifications are a plusTeam player with demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals at all organizational levelsWhy You'll Love Working HereOpportunity to make a real impact on the success of the operationBe part of a team that values innovation, efficiency, and craftsmanshipOpportunities for growth, learning, and leadership in a dynamic manufacturing environmentCompetitive pay and benefits including medical/dental/visionWorking EnvironmentOn-site role in a production facility-daily presence on the shop floor is a mustAbility to access and navigate all areas of the facilities and perform the above-mentioned responsibilitiesInternational travel will be required for trainingPay$25.00 - $30.00 per hour DOEBenefitsHealth insuranceDental insuranceVision insurancePaid holidaysPaid time offIRA with matching $Ready to join a company that puts people and safety first?
