Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - PRN ($1000 Sign on Bonus)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehab team at Henderson Nursing Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation. As a COTA, you will work closely under the direction of an Occupational Therapist to help implement care plans, guide residents through therapeutic activities, and promote recovery and mobility in a supportive long-term care setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver care and exercises based on treatment plans created by the OT

  • Assist residents with activities that support daily living and independence

  • Accurately document therapy sessions and track patient progress

  • Collaborate with therapists, nurses, and family members to support care goals

  • Educate residents, families, and staff on at-home and restorative programs

  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and quality improvement programs

  • Float to nearby facilities if needed based on patient needs

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

  • Current state license/registration as a COTA

  • Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting is a plus

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with patient movement

  • Strong communication and time management skills
