About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic rehabilitation team. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to help patients develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily living and working.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist

  • Guide patients through therapeutic activities and exercises to improve motor skills, coordination, and independence

  • Monitor and document patient progress, reporting changes to the supervising therapist

  • Educate patients and caregivers on techniques to enhance functional performance

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care

  • Support patients in using adaptive equipment and assistive technology

  • Promote a safe and encouraging environment for rehabilitation

Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

  • Current certification by the NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy)

  • State licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Experience in pediatric, adult, or geriatric settings is a plus
