Position Summary

Under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the COTA will provide occupational therapy treatments and interventions that help residents regain, maintain, and improve their ability to perform daily activities. The ideal candidate is passionate about resident-centered care and thrives in a warm, team-focused environment.

Responsibilities
  • Implement treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist

  • Provide therapeutic activities and exercises to improve function and independence

  • Monitor resident progress and communicate outcomes to the therapy team

  • Document treatments and resident responses accurately and timely

  • Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and interdisciplinary teams

  • Educate residents and families on therapy goals and interventions

  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory and facility standards

Qualifications
  • Current California COTA license in good standing

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

  • Skilled nursing facility experience preferred but not required

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Commitment to providing compassionate, resident-centered care

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
